A great time was had by all!
Despite slippery roads, our fun-draiser was a great success.
The intimate setting of the beautifully restored Historic West Bend Theater is perfect for this event, allowing the audience to be up close and personal with the musicians.
We hope you had as wonderful a time as we did!
See you next year!

Check out this insightful and fun discussion with about Beethoven and how his composition related to his times.
Have you performed this symphony before?
Yes. The Kettle Moraine Symphony performed it many years ago. I’m anticipating that this performance will be at a much higher level.
Do you have a favorite recording or performance of the fifth that you like to listen to?
My favorite recording is by John Eliot Gardiner and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, which is an ensemble that performs on instruments that were in use during the Beethoven’s lifetime. Read the full interview…

Dear Music Lovers and Friends,
My name is Richard Hynson, and I am honored that your board and orchestra members have chosen me to serve as the Kettle Moraine Symphony’s fourth music director. I say “your board” because indeed this is your orchestra.
This orchestra represents more than just an entertainment option. This orchestra stands for great music making by your neighbors and friends. It is also a real indicator of Washington County’s commitment to creating a community and a quality of life that are exceptional.
Each time that we play for you we create a live performance—a human experience of shared beauty, emotions, and wordless understandings. Every time we gather together to share the music, performers and audience members connect with one another in fleeting but powerful ways. You won’t want to miss a single moment!
Finally, just as the leaders and stakeholders of West Bend are working hard to enhance and evolve the community, we, too, are committed to grow and to improve the ways in which KMS makes a difference to you.
As the song goes: “…You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!”
KMS is committed to mentoring the students of today who will be the orchestral musicians of tomorrow. Each season, we perform at least one concert side-by-side with high school and college students, and everyone benefits!

Our 2021 video production of Prokofiev’s beloved children’s classic musical story, Peter and the Wolf, is now available on YouTube here.
What makes this production truly, heartwarming are the children and families who tell the story. Students from Silverbrook Middle School, friends of KMS and family members of KMS players all contributed to the narration.
Enjoy, and feel free to share!
